Chang’e will follow China’s successful Chang’e 3 mission which soft landed on the Moon in 2013.

At present, exporters can import capital goods duty free under the EPCG scheme and also under initiatives for EOUs (export oriented units) and SEZ (Special Economic Zone) units.
However, these schemes are no longer compatible with World Trade Organisation (WTO) norms.
This is because India‘s per capita Gross National Income (GNI) exceeded the threshold of $1,000 for three years in a row in 2015, and so it can no longer extend export subsidies, under WTO rules.
The government thus plans to phase out or withdraw the schemes, in phased manner, which are non-compatible to WTO norms and re-work on a new scheme .
